Keep Speaking the Word

Keep Speaking the Word

A lion tamer was performing in a certain city with four lions in a cage with him.   The performer only had a whip, chair, and his voice.  While going through his performance the electricity went off in the building. The crowd was in dismay about what would become of the lion tamer and people started rushing out of the building. About 5 minutes later the lights came back on and those left were surprised to see the lion tamer alive and the lions still on their stand despite the commotion. After retrieving the lion tamer from the cage they asked him how did he stay alive? The lion tamer responded while the lights are on (in the natural) the whip nor I am strong enough to defeat the lions but they pay attention to my voice. The lights do not dictate whether the lions will obey me or not, I just kept doing what I would have done in the light.   I just kept speaking to the lions in the darkness and cracking the whip.

In life, darkness does not dictate to us what the outcome will be. While we walk through this valley of the shadow of death keep speaking the word of God. Many quit speaking when darkness comes but as you speak the Word the whip is going out against the enemy and the situations that have come to cause confusion. I personally crack the whip today and confess that: our marriages are getting stronger (Mark 10:8-9), our children are walking in the light (Daniel 1:17), our relationships are getting better (Eph. 4:2-3), the joy of the Lord is our strength (Neh. 8:10), and the life of God is operating within us (1 John 4:4). Just like the lions have to obey the voice of the lion tamer, situations have to obey the voice of the Word. Just keep cracking the whip friend and things will change!!!!
